Andrew Ladd played in his 500th career NHL game on Feb. 21/13 at PNC Arena in Carolina – the building in which he was selected fourth overall by the hometown Hurricanes in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.

The Jets Captain showed a flair for the dramatic, scoring a goal and adding two assists to help his club to a 4-3 victory.

Ladd, 27, won the Stanley Cup with the Hurricanes in 2005-06 after playing 17 playoff games, scoring two goals and five assists.

The Maple Ridge, BC native, has played in 532 career NHL games with Carolina, Chicago and Atlanta/Winnipeg. He has 138 goals, 166 assists totaling 304 points, with an average plus-minus of 34. He's accumulated 305 penalty minutes and has 1207 total shots on goal.

In total for the 2012-13 season, the Winnipeg Jets had 177 man games lost to injury. The longest lasting injuries happened to Zach Redmond (lower body – 28 games, Feb. 21-Apr. 16), Jim Slater (upper body – 22 games, Mar. 14-Apr. 25), and Anthony Peluso (upper body – 21 games, Mar. 5-Apr. 11).

The Jets had 282 man games lost to injury for the entire 2011-12 season.

According to, Florida had the most man games lost in the 2012-13 season with 271 followed by Philadelphia with 262 and Detroit with 243. Boston had the fewest with 51 and Los Angeles was right behind with 53. According to the same website, the Winnipeg Jets had the fifth-highest man games lost to injury last season.

Listed is a breakdown of man games lost by position in the shortened 48 game 2012-13 season:

Defence: Games lost: 82

The Jets registered their highest goal total in one game on Apr. 11/13 at MTS Centre, putting up seven versus the Florida Panthers en route to a 7-2 win. It marked the second year in a row that the Jets scored seven goals in a game against the Panthers, as they blanked Florida 7-0 on Mar. 1/12. The franchise record for goals in one game is nine, which has been accomplished twice.

Over the next couple of weeks, would like to remind you of a few great nights from the 2012-13 Jets' season. There are so many interesting facts, stats and highlights that we're sure you'll enjoy.

We'll start with a long, exciting night many of you might remember...

The Jets and Maple Leafs strung out their shootout to 10 rounds on Mar. 16/13 before Zach Bogosian, in his first career shootout attempt, solved Toronto goalie James Reimer. The 10-round shootout matched the longest in Jets franchise history. The previous 10-round shootout occurred on Feb. 15/08 in New Jersey when Atlanta won 4-3. The shootout also stood as the longest of the 2012-13 NHL season.
