Jets re-assign Hutchinson; place Halischuk on IR

The Winnipeg Jets announced today they have re-assigned goaltender Michael Hutchinson to the Ontario Reign of the ECHL. The Winnipeg Jets also announced they have placed forward Matt Halischuk on the injured reserve list retroactive to Dec. 14/13.

Hutchinson, 23, played in one game with the IceCaps since his recall on Dec. 14/13. He will return to Ontario where he has played in 17 games so far this season. In that time, the 6’3 goaltender has earned a 13-2-2 record, 1.91 goals against average and 0.928 save percentage.

The Barrie, ON native has played in 87 career AHL games, all with the Providence Bruins, for a 39-37-5 career record.

He was originally drafted by the Boston Bruins in the third round, 33rd overall, in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
