The Winnipeg Jets are pleased to announce they have agreed to terms with defenceman Mark Flood. As per club policy, terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Flood, 26, appeared in 63 games last season with the Manitoba Moose of the American Hockey League where he scored 40 points (11g, 29a) and collected 29 penalty minutes. The Charlottetown, PEI native has played in six career NHL games with the New York Islanders in 2009-10 where he collected an assist. In 306 career AHL games with Syracuse, Albany, Bridgeport, and Manitoba from 2005 to 2011, Flood scored 140 points (42g, 98a) and collected 137 penalty minutes.
Flood was originally drafted by Montreal in the sixth round, 188th overall, in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
