The Winnipeg Jets are pleased to announce they have agreed to terms with defenceman Randy Jones. As per club policy, terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Jones, 29, appeared in 61 games last season with the Tampa Bay Lightning where he scored 13 points (1g, 12a) and collected 15 penalty minutes. In five Stanley Cup playoff games with the Lightning last spring, the Quispamsis, NB native collected an assist and two penalty minutes. In 326 career NHL games with Philadelphia and Tampa Bay from 2003 to 2011, Jones has scored 103 points (19g, 84a) and collected 177 penalty minutes. In 31 career Stanley Cup playoff games, Jones has collected four assists and eight penalty minutes.
