PrintThe St. John’s IceCaps announced today they have re-assigned defencemen Jake Marto to the Colorado Eagles of the ECHL.
Marto, 25, played in one game with the St. John’s IceCaps since his recall on November 4, 2011. Through seven games with the Eagles this season, Marto has three assists and two penalty minutes in seven games. In 2010-11, the Grand Forks, ND native finished his fourth season with the University of North Dakota Fighting Sioux. Marto recorded 62 points (21g, 41a) and 48 penalty minutes in 157 games in his collegiate career with the University of North Dakota.
