The Winnipeg Jets announced today they have recalled forward Patrice Cormier from their AHL affiliate, the St. John’s IceCaps.
Cormier, 21, has played in 28 games with the IceCaps this season. During that time, the Moncton, NB native has collected 13 points (9g, 4a) while racking up a team-leading 38 penalty minutes. Cormier has played in a career total 21 NHL games, all with the Atlanta Thrashers, where he earned two points (1g, 1a) and four penalty minutes.
Cormier was originally drafted by the New Jersey Devils in the second round, 54th overall, in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
