CANADA 10, DENMARK 2
It was all Canada in this crazy matchup against Denmark on Thursday night in Edmonton. Defenseman Scott Harrington led his team with a goal and three assists to help Canada win 10-2.
Eight Canadians had multi-point nights. Winnipeg's Mark Stone added another three points and is now sitting with seven points. Tied with him in 3rd place are Ryan Strome and Jonathan Huberdeau.
Quinton Howden, Brandon Gormley and Mark Stone all contributed three point nights for Canada.
Four goals in the first period by Quinton Howden, Brett Connolly, Jonathan Huberdeau and Ryan Strome put the game somewhat out of reach for Denmark and it was all down-hill from there.
Mark Scheifele added another assist to his stats as he picked up the helper on Brandan Gormley's goal on the power play.
Canada sits at the top of Group B with nine points. The first place team from each group gets an automatic berth in the semi-finals. Canada will next face Team USA in the exciting New Years Eve matchup.
