Jets trade Akim Aliu for John Negrin

The Winnipeg Jets today announced they have traded forward Akim Aliu to the Calgary Flames for defenceman John Negrin.
Negrin, 22, has played in 26 games with the Abbotsford Heat this season earning one assist and 12 penalty minutes. He started the season in nine games with the Utah Grizzlies of the ECHL scoring six points (5g, 6a) and 10 penalty minutes.
The Vancouver, BC native has played in three career NHL games with the Calgary Flames for one point and two penalty minutes. He was originally drafted by Calgary in the third round, 70th overall, in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
