The Winnipeg Jets are pleased to announce they are participating in “I Love to Read Month” designed to positively encourage children to develop an interest in reading. Jets players will be visiting different schools throughout the city on Monday, February 13, 2012 to celebrate the annual February event.
During their school visits, players will be reading to classes of students from kindergarten to grade 6. Classes were chosen based on a 50-word submission as to why the Jets should visit their classroom.
In addition to the visit, there are also a number of prizes to be handed out along with a short autograph session for the students involved.
