Jets recall Ben Maxwell from IceCaps
The Winnipeg Jets today announced they have recalled forward Ben Maxwell from the St. John’s IceCaps of the American Hockey League.
Maxwell, 23, has played in 36 games with the IceCaps so far this season. In that time, the North Vancouver, BC native has recorded 22 points (8G, 14A) and 31 penalty minutes. Maxwell played in four games with the Winnipeg Jets this season and six games with the Anaheim Ducks where he earned one assist. The left-handed centre has played in 42 career NHL games between Montreal, Atlanta, Winnipeg and Anaheim for three career points (1G, 2A) and 19 penalty minutes.
He was originally drafted by the Montreal Canadiens in the second round, 49th overall, in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.
