And the Winner Is...
The polls are closed and the votes have been tallied. Ondrej Pavelec's diving save on February 21, 2012 against the Philadelphia Flyers has been declared the winner of the first-ever Winnipeg Jets Plays of the Year Showdown.
After a grueling five-week voting process with nearly 20,000 votes cast by Jets fans, Pavelec has proven to be victorious.
In the final and decisive round, the February 21 save faced it's biggest challenge of the Plays of the Year Showdown when it was match-up against the 5-on-1 goal, scored by Bryan Little on March 1 against the Florida Panthers. This final round of voting was incredibly close, and very hard to choose a winner, but Pavelec edged the 5-on-1 goal by a slim margin.
