IceCaps make roster moves following training camp
Six players reassigned or released; roster now at 30
The St. John’s IceCaps have made six player moves following the conclusion of the team’s 2012 training camp and exhibition series.
Goaltender Chris Carrozzi has been reassigned to the Ontario Reign of the ECHL. Forward Norm Ezekiel and defenceman Cody Sol have been sent to the IceCaps ECHL affiliate, the Colorado Eagles. Forward Brayden Irwin and defencemen Chris Huxley and Mark Mitera were released.
The transactions leave the IceCaps with a roster of two goalies, eight defencemen and 20 forwards.
The IceCaps open their second AHL season Saturday, Oct. 13 against the Springfield Falcons. The IceCaps home opener is Friday, Oct. 19 against the Adirondack Phantoms.
