Jets claim Anthony Peluso off waivers

PrintThe Winnipeg Jets are pleased to announce they have claimed right winger Anthony Peluso off waivers. Peluso was placed on waivers by the St. Louis Blues and will now report to the Jets.
Peluso, 23, has played in 36 games with the Peoria Rivermen of the American Hockey League so far this season. In that time, the North York, ON native has recorded 11 points (5G, 6A) and 58 penalty minutes.
He has played in 181 total AHL games all with the Rivermen for 29 career points (15G, 14A) and 376 career penalty minutes. Prior to turning professional, Peluso played major junior hockey in the Ontario Hockey League with the Erie Otters, Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds and the Brampton Battalion.
He was originally drafted by the St. Louis Blues in the sixth round, 160th overall, in the 2007 NHL Draft.
