Jets agree to terms with Arturs Kulda

The Winnipeg Jets announced today they have agreed to terms with defenseman Arturs Kulda on a new contract. As per club policy, terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
The Jets also announced they have placed goaltender Al Montoya on the injured reserve retroactive to Wednesday, Mar. 13/13.
Kulda, 24, has played in 50 games with Novosibirsk of the KHL so far this season. In that time, the Riga, Latvia native recorded 15 points (9G, 6A) and 55 penalty minutes. He also played in seven post-season games with the club for one assist.
Kulda has played in 15 career NHL games between Winnipeg and Atlanta collecting two assists and eight penalty minutes. He was originally drafted by the Atlanta Thrashers in the seventh round, 200th overall, in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.
