Jets continue their home stand against the Florida Panthers on Thursday night.
With the NHL landscape realigning for the start of the 2013-14 season, the Winnipeg Jets (20-19-2) and Florida Panthers (13-20-6) will meet for the final time as Southeast Division rivals on Thursday at MTS Centre. The Jets are winners of two straight, leaving them firmly entrenched in the playoff picture – tied with the Rangers for eighth in the Eastern Conference, and two points back of the Capitals for the third seed. The Panthers are last in the East, but have won four of their last five to keep their playoff hopes alive. Both teams have two wins each in this year’s season series.FIRST PERIOD

3:54: JETS GOAL: Jets got on the board early shortly after an early power play had expired.Blake Wheeler blasted a slap shot from the point and Aaron Gagnon was in front to tip the puck past Jacob Markstrom. 1-0 Jets.
| The Jets were all over the Panthers there. A solid power play led to good pressure in the zone.
4:46: PANTHERS GOAL: TJ Brennan ties the game just under a minute later after he sent a hard wrist shot from the top of the circle to beat Pavelec.
5:04: JETS GOAL: Evander Kane net his 15th of the season just 15 seconds after the Panthers tied things up to regain the lead. Olli Jokinen sent the puck on net from a sharp angle in the corner. Kane was there to scoop up the loose puck and backhand it in threw the legs of Markstrom. 2-1 Jets.
6:31: PANTHERS GOAL: Tomas Fleischmann tied things up a minute and a half later after he received a long cross ice pass at the bottom of the right circle. With Pavelec on the other side of the net, there was no way he could get over in time, as the puck was sent into the open net.

After one period of play the Jets led the Panthers 3-2 and led 17-9 on the shot clock.
10:05: JETS GOAL-PP: Grant Clitsome picked up his fourth of the season and increase the Jets lead to 4-2 on the PP. Clitsome was in the slot and sent the pass over to Little on the wing down low. Little took a look and sent it right back to Clitsome all alone in front to put the puck past Markstrom. 4-2 Jets.
| Hadn't even finished announcing the penalty to Parros and Bryan Little with another beautiful feed to a pinching Clitsome. 4-2 Jets.
10:33: JETS GOAL: Dustin Byfuglien adds to the Jets lead 28 seconds later as he blasted one from the point that flew past a screened Markstrom to make it 5-2.
11:57: JETS GOAL: Evander Kane made it 6-2 after a turnover in the neutral zone. Markstrom came out of his net in attempt to poke the puck away from a flying Kane but failed to get there in time, resulting in Kane walking the puck around him and into the open net.
After letting in the sixth Jets goal, Markstrom was released from his goal and replaced with Scott Clemmensen.
17:21: George Parros took a seat for unsportsmanlike conduct for four minutes, putting the Jets on a late power play.
19:00: Gudbranson took a five-minute major and match penalty for an illegal check to head on Bryan Little along the boards. The Jets then went to a 5-on-3 for 2:21 here.

Time ran down on period two with the score reading 6-2 and still 1:21 remaining in the 5-on-3. Shots on net read 23-20 Jets.
11:53: JETS GOAL: Chris Thorburn added a seventh goal to the board as he made a perfect tip in front on a Ron Hainsey shot from the point. Zach Bogosian picked up his second assist of the night on the play.
