Jets get Frolik for draft picks
The Winnipeg Jets have obtained forward Michael Frolik in exchange for their 74th and 134th overall selections in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.
Frolik was originally drafted No. 10 in 2006 by the Florida Panthers. Chicago acquired Frolik on Feb. 9, 2011 and he signed a three-year extension with the Blackhawks four months later.
Frolik, who scored 21 goals each of his first two NHL seasons, became one of Chicago's top penalty-killing forwards. He also assisted on Dave Bolland's Stanley Cup-winning goal in Game 6 of the 2013 Final. Bolland was traded to the Maple Leafs earlier in the day.
The Czech Republic native has tallied 151 points (61G, 90A) in 349 career NHL games with the Blackhawks and Panthers.
