Jets agree to terms with Bryan Little
The Winnipeg Jets are pleased to announce they have agreed to terms with forward Bryan Little on a new five-year contract worth $23.5 million.
“I’ve been part of the organization since I’ve been drafted," Little said during a conference call. "And even though we moved to Winnipeg in the last couple of years, it’s something I wanted to be a part of still,”
“I think this organization’s best days are ahead of them, and I think in the very near future, so I kind of wanted to stay to be a part of that. It wasn’t really hard for me to make that decision to stay with Winnipeg for a long time.”
Little, 25, played in 48 games with the Winnipeg Jets during the 2012-13 season. In that time, the right-handed centre recorded 32 points (7G, 25A) and four penalty minutes. He sat second on the club’s leaderboard in assists and fourth among his team in scoring. The Edmonton, AB native has played in 404 career NHL games between Atlanta and Winnipeg for 227 career points (99G, 128A) and 125 penalty minutes.
He was originally drafted by the Atlanta Thrashers in the first round, 12th overall, in the 2006 NHL Draft.Bryan Little
