IceCaps Hire Goaltending Coach Dusty Imoo
The St. John’s IceCaps hire Dusty Imoo as Goaltending Coach.
The Winnipeg Jets are pleased to announce they have hired Dusty Imoo as their Developmental Goaltending Coach.
Imoo, 43, spent the last two seasons as the Goaltending Coach for the Seattle Thunderbirds. He was responsible for on-ice development, drill preparation and one-on-one mentorship for all goalies in Thunderbirds system.
Prior to joining the T-Birds, Imoo was a Goaltending Consultant for the Surrey Eagles of the BCHL for three seasons. Since 2009, Imoo has owned and operated RDT – Real Deal Training, which creates off-season conditioning and training programs for hockey players and other athletes. He is also a Goaltending Consultant with Pro Goaltending Development in Surrey, British Columbia.
Imoo played 15 seasons of pro hockey in the JIHL, IHL, AHL and ECHL. He also played for Japan in the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano and participated in four World Championships. Imoo started Junior Hockey at age 15 playing two seasons in the BCHL and then four seasons in the WHL with three different teams - the New Westminster Bruins, Lethbridge Hurricanes and Regina Pats. He was selected as a WHL All-Star while with Lethbridge.
