Jets: F- Evander Kane, Olli Jokinen, Devin Setoguchi, D- Tobias Enstrom, Zach Bogosian, and Al Montoya in net.
Wild: F- Dany Heatley, Charlie Coyle, Justin Fontaine D- Mathew Dumba, Clayton Stoner and Josh Harding in net.
3:57: The Jets got their first power play of the night with Nate Prosser off for elbowing on Peluso. Power play went to work but weren't able to make it count.
7:45: WILD GOAL: Matthew Dumba picked up his first goal of the preseason after a wild scramble in front of Montoya. After two or three saves, the puck somehow spit out and found Dumba who lifted the puck up and over Montoya.
Mark Scheifele and James Wright had a glorious opportunity shortly after the goal but couldn't solve Josh Harding.
|Great vision by Scheifele to spot Wright across the ice but Harding up to the task and makes the save. @IllegalCurve|
13:58: JETS GOAL: Bryan Little scores his first of the preseason with a nice back-hand flip top shelf on Harding. Andrew Ladd picked up the assist with the perfect feed to find Little in front.
After 20 minutes, the Jets and Wild were tied 1-1. Shots on goal were 13-7 in favour of the Wild.
14:37: WILD GOAL: After a great scoring opportunity for the Jets, the Wild intercepted the puck in the slot and raced back the other way. Charlie Coyle and Dany Heatley played give and go all the way down the ice with Coyle getting touching the puck last to tap it into the open net.
14:53: WILD GOAL: 16 seconds later, Kris Fouchault widened the gap to 3-1 as he took a pass right at the backdoor from Torrey Mitchell and snapped the puck past Montoya. 3-1 Wild.
Through two periods of play, the Jets trailed the Wild 3-1. Shots on goal still favoured Minnesota 25-17.
So far no scoring midway through the third period but a few close calls and great scoring chances for the Jets. A lot of crazy bounces going on tonight. Claude playing around a little bit with the lines out there...
|LW Evander Kane, upset with non-call on previous shift, draws a high-sticking minor on this one. PP at 3:07 of 3rd, Jets down 3-1 @WiebeSunSports|
