Preview: Jets @ Oilers
Preview: Jets vs. Oilers

Tonight marks the second preseason meeting between the Jets and Oilers. The first coming on September 18th with the Jets taking a 3-2 win at the MTS Centre. The Jets were up 3-0 in the third period but the Oilers clawed their way back within one after a pair of quick unanswered goals to try to tie the game. Pavelec and the Jets however, held on for their first win in preseason.

The Jets will visit Rexall Place in Edmonton tonight for the first time since March, 1996, looking for another win.

UP FRONT- Lowry and Gordon preseason debut

Adam Lowry will make his preseason debut after being out most of training camp with an upper body injury but is ready for contact and will be looking to make a splash tonight.

The Calgary, AB native commented that he's very excited to get back in and have a chance to play against the Oilers, a team he didn't like much growing up, thanks to the battle of Alberta rivalry.

"You have to be realistic to these players, it'll be their first game so you just have to be patient," said Claude Noel after the morning skate. "I don't expect them to do too much I'd just like them to play responsible and olay with some energy and that would be good."

BLUELINE

Zach Redmond will get back into the lineup tonight as will Adam Pardy. Dustin Byfuglien and Tobias Enstrom will have the night off. Grant Clitsome, Mark Stuart, Zach Bogosian and Jacob Trouba will fill out the blueline roster.

GOALTENDING

Noel announced this morning that Eddie Pasquale will get his second preseason start tonight against the Oilers and his plan is to have him play the whole game. Al Montoya will back him up on the bench.
