FIRST PERIOD

3:54: BRUINS GOAL: The B's got on the board early with a goal from Patrice Bergeron. It was Brad Marchand with a perfect connection in the slot followed up with a nice snap shot through Ondrej Pavelec. 1-0 Bruins.

10:31: BOS PENALTY: Dougie Hamilton took the game's first penalty for interference on Jim Slater midway through the first period.

11:18: WPG PENALTY: Devin Setoguchi negates the penalty as he takes a holding penalty halfway through the Jets' first power play.
Jacob Trouba looking confident, determined, and aggressive. Looks like he's trying to "will" something positive to happen.     @MitchPeacock1

15:55: BOS PENALTY: Dougie Hamilton returns to the penalty box for two minutes for cross-checking on Matt Halischuk. Jets to their second power play.

17:02: JETS PPG GOAL: Devin Setoguchi evens the score as Jacob Trouba's slap shot from the blueline rebounded right onto his stick in the slot. He didn't waste a second firing the puck past Niklas Svedberg. Olli Jokinen picked up the second assist on the play.

After 20 minutes, the Jets and Bruins were all tied at one a piece. Shots on goal read 14-9 in favour of the Bruins.

SECOND PERIOD

Things slowed down considerably in the first half of the second period as there was no scoring or penalties through the first 13 minutes of play. The Jets did however inch closer in the shots department, they read 17-15 Bruins with seven minutes left in the middle frame.

13:07: BOS PENALTY: The Bruins took a too  many men on the ice call putting the Jets on their first PP of the period. They'll look to wake this crowd up here at the MTS Centre....Shawn Thornton serving the penalty.

13:57: WPG PENALTY: Dustin Byfuglien took a roughing call 50 seconds into the Jets power play. So, 4-on-4 play it is.
This has been a much, much better period for the #NHLJets. Love the energy and work of Wright-Slater-Thorburn.   @ICEzzyC

16:39: BOS PENALTY: Dennis Seidenberg gets called for tripping up Setoguchi along the boards, so he'll sit for two. Jets back on the PP looking to pull ahead of these Bruins.

Through 40 minutes, the Jets and Bruins were still tied up 1-1. Shots now in the Jets favour 22-17. Jets also leading in hits 24-15.

THIRD PERIOD

2:59: BOS PENALTY: Matt Fraser took an early hooking penalty sending the Jets to their fifth power play of the night.

4:21: JETS PP GOAL: Mark Scheifele gets his first of the pre-season to put the Jets up 2-1 on the power play. Eric Tangradi dumped the puck into the Bruins zone that went just wide of the net. Thanks to a nice bounce and some fast skating by Scheifele, he was there to scoop up the loose puck and tuck it behind Svedberg.

6:22: BRUINS GOAL:
Ryan Spooner evened things up two minutes later as he blasted a point shot through traffic and past a screen from Matt Fraser.  Matt Bartkowski and Torey Krug pick up the assists on the play.

12:21: WPG PENALTY: The penalties continue as Adam Pardy gets called for holding on Reilly Smith. Bruins to the power play.

14:04: WPG PENALTY: Evander Kane heads off for tripping putting the Bruins on a 5-on-3 for 18 seconds....A few chances and a few close calls but Pavelec and the Jets kill off the crucial power play to keep the game tied at two.

This game would need more than 60 minutes as time expired on regulation. Shots after three periods were 30-27 in favour of the Bruins.

1:46 OT: BRUINS GOAL: Loui Eriksson tallies the game winning goal on a tic-tac-toe play with Ryan Spooner. Spooner sent a cross-ice feed into the skates of Eriksson who managed to get the puck to his stick at the last second and bury it behind Pavelec for the win.
