Pavelec and Frolik Join Czech Republic Men\'s Hockey Team
The Winnipeg Jets Hockey Club is proud to announce that Ondrej Pavelec and Michael Frolik have both been named to the Czech Republic\u2019s Olympic Men\u2019s Hockey Team for the 2014 Winter Olympic Games in Sochi.

The Winnipeg Jets Hockey Club is proud to announce that Ondrej Pavelec and Michael Frolik have both been named to the Czech Republic’s Olympic Men’s Hockey Team for the 2014 Winter Olympic Games in Sochi. The XXII Olympic Winter Games will take place from Friday, February 7 to Sunday, February 23, 2014.

Pavelec, 26, has played in 33 games for the Winnipeg Jets so far this season. In that time, the net minder has recorded an 11-17-4 record, 3.06 goals against average and 0.901 save percentage. Pavelec has suited up for his country four times, winning the Gold Medal at the 2010 World Championships and the Bronze Medal in the 2011 World Championships. He was originally drafted by the Atlanta Thrashers in the second round, 41st overall, in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.

Frolik, 25, has played in 44 games with the Winnipeg Jets so far this season. In that time, the left-handed winger has recorded 24 points (9G, 15A) and six penalty minutes. The Kladno, Czech Republic native has played in 393 career NHL games, between Florida, Chicago and Winnipeg, for 175 career points (70G, 105A) and 131 penalty minutes. Frolik has earned five bronze medals for the Czech Republic over his career – 2011, 2012 World Championships; 2005 World Junior Championships; 2004, 2006 IIHF U18 Championships. He was originally drafted by the Florida Panthers in the first round, 10th overall, in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.
