Jerome Samson, G – St. John's IceCaps (AHL)

Like many of his teammates, Jerome Samson is peaking at just the right time finishing the season with an impressive seven points (2G, 5A) over the final two games. His efforts in consecutive wins over Worcester & Portland last weekend earned Samson AHL Player of the Week honours. Samson has finished the regular season ranked third in team scoring with 56 points (27G, 29A) in 68 games played.

Scott Kosmachuk, D – Guelph Storm (OHL)

The Guelph Storm’s charge through the OHL playoffs continues into the Western Conference final after eliminating the eventual Memorial Cup hosts in five games. Scott Kosmachuk has been an integral part of a seemingly unstoppable Storm offence, chipping in 17 points (8G, 9A) through 12 postseason games. He posted an impressive four-point performance in Game 2 of the conference finals recording two goals and two assists against the Erie Otters in a 7-2 win on Apr. 18.

Nicolas Petan, C – Portland Winterhawks (WHL)

The Portland Winterhawks may have finally met their match in the WHL’s Western Conference finals. They face the CHL’s top-ranked team in the Kelowna Rockets and sit tied 1-1 after two games. The Winterhawks regular season scoring champion was vital in their lone win over Kelowna so far as Nic Petan had a goal and two assists, including help on the game winner, in a 5-3 final on Apr. 19. Petan has 14 points (4G, 10A) in 11 games through these WHL playoffs.

Josh Lunden, LW – St. John’s IceCaps (AHL)

Forward Josh Lunden has had a trying campaign missing over four months of the season due to injury. In total, he was only able to appear in 23 games for the IceCaps. He ended the regular season on a high note contributing three goals and an assist with one game winner over the final two games.

Jason Jaffray, LW – St. John's IceCaps (USHL)

Playing like he’s in his prime, the 33-year-old Jason Jaffray compiled 25 points (4G, 21A) over the final 25 games of the regular season to finish as the IceCaps’ top scorer. St. John’s captain recorded 59 points (18G, 41A) in 76 games this season. The last time Jaffray led his team in scoring was in 2009-10 as a member of the Abbotsford Heat.
