Michael Hutchinson, G - St. John’s IceCaps (AHL)

The IceCaps’ keeper was nearly perfect after their first round series versus Albany shifted back to St. John’s. Over the course of Games 3 & 4, both wins for St. John’s, Michael Hutchinson allowed one goal on 64 shots against. Through four AHL postseason games Hutchinson has a goals against average of 1.51 and save percentage of .952.

Nicolas Petan, C - Portland Winterhawks (WHL)

The Portlanded Winterhawks opened their WHL final series versus Edmonton with a statement 5‐2 win in Game 1. Nic Petan led all scorers in the game with three points, all assists. Through these playoffs, the 19‐year‐old has 25 points (7G, 18A) in 16 games played. Petan and the Winterhawks are now two wins away from their second consecutive WHL title.

Andrew Gordon, D - St. John’s IceCaps (AHL)

Andrew Gordon singlehandedly clinched the IceCaps’ first round series versus Albany, scoring three times in a 4‐1 win in Game 4. Gordon’s goals came in all situations, scoring while even strength, shorthanded, and on the power play. The 28‐year‐old leads St. John’s in scoring through the first round with four points (3G, 1A) following a four‐game elimination of the Devils.

Zach Redmond, D - St. John’s IceCaps (AHL)

Defenceman Zach Redmond earned valuable experience during the AHL playoffs in his rookie season in 2011‐12. He appeared in 10 games as the IceCaps advanced to the Eastern Conference Finals. Drawing on that experience, Redmond has taken on a leading role on the IceCaps’ blue line during this postseason. Through the first round, he recorded an assist in all four games versus Albany – the only IceCap to record a point in every game – and has yet to record a minus rating during these playoffs.
