Jets agree to terms with Mathieu Perreault
The Winnipeg Jets today announced they agreed to terms with centre Mathieu Perreault on a three-year contract worth $9 million.
Perreault, 26, played in 69 games last season with the Anaheim Ducks where he collected 43 points (18G,25A) and 36 penalty minutes. The native of Drummondville, PQ also played in 11 Stanley Cup playoff games with the Ducks in 2014 where he scored five points (2G,3A) and had 18 penalty minutes. Perreault has now appeared in 228 career NHL games with Anaheim and Washington where he has scored 113 career points (51G,62A) and collected 106 penalty minutes. He has also played in 22 playoff games where he has scored nine points (3G,6A) and had 18 penalty minutes.
Perreault was originally drafted by the Capitals in the sixth round, 177th overall in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.
