Get To Know TJ
1. When did you start playing hockey?
I was about 4 years old when my dad got me started on a little rink. I was a figure skater before I was a hockey player actually, you could start figure skating at a younger age.
2. Were you always a forward?
I’ve always been a forward. It’s just kind of what I know and it’s nice to be offensive instead of having to keep the puck out all the time.
3. Have you ever been to Winnipeg?
I’ve been there 3 times to play games. I’m good buddies with Paul Postma and he’s told me about the city. He said there are a lot of really cool restaurants, and places to live and hang out so I’m looking forward to getting to know it.
4. Best memory of your hockey career so far?
Probably playoffs, it’s the most fun part of the year and I’ve been lucky enough to play in three different playoffs.
5. How would you describe your style?
I’m pretty versatile; I can play centre, left or right wing. I like to play hard and use my skating to my advantage – I’m a pretty good skater. Just be someone the coaching staff and guys can rely on.
6. How would your teammates describe you?
I’d say laid back guy, likes to joke around but when it’s time to work I’m always there and ready.
7. Any interests outside of the rink?
I like to play tennis in the summer and also health and fitness, I’m very interested in nutrition.
