
Tony Borgford returns for his second season as Video Coach for the Winnipeg Jets. Borgford came to Winnipeg after spending 12 years in Atlanta working with the Thrashers in a similar capacity. In his role, Borgford is responsible for video analysis of all pre-scout and game film, breaking down opponents’ systems and tendencies, including fore checks, power play and penalty killing. He also produces video for the coaching staff to be used in daily team meetings as well as for instruction for individual players.
During games, Borgford is in constant communication with the coaching staff and is responsible for providing video analysis in-game, as well as between periods.
A native of Regina, SK, Borgford played junior hockey for the North Battleford North Stars of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League and four years of NCAA hockey for Mercyhurst College in Erie, Pa., from 1995-99.
