As the former Program Coordinator of the Lil’ Moose Hockey Program with WASAC, Murray Cobb transitioned to True North in the fall of 2011. Cobb brings a diverse set of experiences working with less advantaged children from his time at WASAC and as a Youth Care Worker in the Province of Quebec, as well as international experience gained from incorporating the SOS Children’s Village (Serbia) into the NS Stars Hockey School. As the Programming Coordinator of the WJTNF, Cobb is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the True North Hockey Academy, as well as providing support to fundraising events and program development.

Cobb holds a BA, a BSW, and an MSW from McGill University. In addition, Cobb also has an extensive hockey background from his playing days as a member of the McGill University Redmen, the Canadian National In-Line Roller Hockey Team, and from playing oversees for three seasons with HK Vojvodina. While oversees, Cobb also served as an assistant coach with the Serbian National Team at two IIHF World Championships and is a founding board member of Hockey Sans Frontieres.
