The Winnipeg Jets Hockey Club, in conjunction with I Love To Read Month, is pleased to launch Reading Takes Flight, a program designed to positively encourage children to develop an interest in reading.



Reading Takes Flight provides your school with the opportunity to have Winnipeg Jets player(s) come out to your class and read the official children’s book of the Winnipeg Jets Hockey Club “The Home Team”, sign autographs, distribute prizes and answer questions by you and your classmates.
 

In order to assist us in making our selection to send players to your school, please explain in 500 words or less, why your class would like to host a member of the Winnipeg Jets Hockey Club to read the official children’s storybook of the Winnipeg Jets “The Home Team” to your students. “The Home Team” is a story about four young Winnipeg Jets fans who, through hockey, learn some very important lessons.
