AMATEUR CAREER: Tallied 79 points (26 goals, 53 assists) in 93 games over two seasons with the United States Development Program … 2005-06:  Appeared in 46 games for the US Under-17 team, recording 46 points (16 goals, 30 assists) … Ranked second on team in scoring.

INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION: Helped lead Team USA to a silver medal at 2006 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge, recording nine points (one goal, eight assists) in seven tournament games … Was a member of the silver-medal winning Team USA at the 2007 IIHF World Under-18 Championships, tallying three points (one goal, two assists) in seven games.
