NEXT GAME:

Winnipeg continues the home stretch on December 15th when they host Alex Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals for the second time this season. Watch Thursday's game on TSN Jets or listen to TSN Radio 1290. Game time is 7:30 PM.

Bryan Little extended his goal scoring streak to four games as he picked up another game winning goal tonight to help the Jets down the Wild 2-1.

Zach Bogosian tallied his first goal of the season tonight and Ondrej Pavelec had another steller outing stopping 34 of 35 shots on net and stepping up in all the key times of the game for his team.

The Jets have now won eight of their last nine home games. They still have five more to play at home in a row starting on Thursday against the Washington Capitals.

The puck drops at 6:00 pm and is broadcast on CBC or listen on TSN Radio 1290.

FIRST PERIOD

A fairly fast-paced period but not too much going on the scoreboard. The first penalty of the game was handed to Guillaume Latendresse for interference with 5:37 remaining in the opening period. The power play unit went to work for the Jets but couldn't convert on the man advantage. Their best chance came in the dying seconds of the period as Zach Bogosian blasted a slap shot from the left point that missed wide by a hair.

After 20 minutes of play, the Jets led 10-6 on the shotclock.

SECOND PERIOD

With Chris Thorburn and Tanner Glass in the box just under the five minute mark of the second period, the Wild pounced and drew first blood.

The play started with Mikko Koivu firing a slap shot from the right circle. Pavelec saw the puck and made the save but unfortunately the puck shot out just in front of the blue paint and Guillaume Latendresse was there to tap home the rebound to make it 1-0 Wild.

Zach Bogosian answered back quickly for the Jets as he picked up his first goal of the season at 8:37. Bogosian waited patiently at the right point before firing a rifle of a slap shot through traffic and past Backstrom to tie the game 1-1.

Glass decided to shake things up a couple of minutes later as he and Clayton Stoner dropped the gloves in front of the Wild net sparking the crowd at the MTS Centre.

Dustin Byfuglien put the puck into the Wild net with under three minutes to play in the period but due to goaltender interference, the goal was immediately called off by the ref and the game remained tied.

After 40 minutes, the Wild were on top of the shotclock 22-19.

THIRD PERIOD

Bryan Little put the Jets up 2-1 on the power play with exactly five minutes to play in regulation.

With Stoner in the box serving a delay of game penalty, the Jets special teams went to work. Wheeler sent a nice one-timer pass over to Byfuglien inside the right circle. Byfuglien fired one that went just wide of the Wild net. Little was there at the goal line to scoop up the puck and toss it into the open corner. 2-1 Jets.

With just 1:06 left in the game, Bogosian took a five minute boarding penalty as he hit Pierre-Marc Bouchard into the boards behind the net. The Wild had just over a minute to tie the game and did everything in their power to do so. It was Pavelec who was there to shut the door and keep his team on top by one.

That's how things would end in this one as the Jets take the Wild 2-1.
