Tim Stapleton picked up the lone goal against the Predators tonight and improves to a five-game point streak but the one goal would not be enough, as the Jets fell 3-1 to the Preds Saturday night.
Matt Halischuk and Gabriel Bourque each picked up a goal to go up 2-0 in the second period and Shea Weber added an empty net in the final minute of the game.
The Preds ended up on top 28-25 in shots on net.

Tobias Enstrom took the game's first penalty at 5:11 as he was called for slashing putting the Preds on an early power play. Although the Preds' were able to put a few quality shots on Pavelec, he was excellent through the first half making a few huge saves to keep the game scoreless.
The Jets would get their first power play opportunity with just over seven minutes to play as Martin Erat went off for hooking. The Jets were able to set up a couple times but were unable to convert on the advantage and we were back to five-on-five.
After one period of play, the game was scoreless and the Predators were on top 9-6 in shots.
The Predators got on the board first as Matt Halischuk charged up centre-ice with speed on a partial breakaway and blasted a slap shot from the top of the circle that beat Pavelec top shelf. 1-0 Preds 2:56 into the second.
Gabriel Bourque added a second goal to the Preds score as he pushed the puck past Pavelec from inside the crease at 10:01 of the period. Nick Spaling fired a shot from the point that Pavelec spit out in front. Bourque was there to clean up the rebound and quickly make it 2-0.

The Predators did a good job of slowing down the game through the first half of the final frame. They were able to keep the Jets to the outside and not allow very many scoring chances. The Jets did look like fatigue was becoming more and more of a factor as time continued to tick down in Nashville, down 2-0 with just over eight minutes to play.
The Jets did show a little bit of light as they tried to put a little bit of sustained pressure on the Preds but Rinne wasn't going to let one by him that easily.
Tim Stapleton finally got the Jets on the board picking up his third goal in three games from Spencer Machacek and Ben Maxwell at 12:53. Machecek found Stapleton right in front of the net and he made it look easy as he tipped it past Rinne. 2-1 Preds.
They continued to keep the pressure on playing desperate hockey and trying to find the equalizer but just wouldn't be enough. Shea Weber added an empty-net goal to seal the deal as they fell to the Predators 3-1.
