Ladd started the play cycling the puck to Enstrom who passed it to Byfuglien to blast one of his famous slap shots on the point. Antropov was parked in front of the net acting as a screen and it looked like he might have got a piece of the puck as it flew past Vokoun into the net. Byfuglien got the credit for his second of the season assisted by Enstrom and Ladd. 2-2 Jets at 13:35 of the second.
With 2:06 remaining in the second frame, Ladd picked up a crucial goal to go up on the Penguins for the first time. The insurance did finally came as Kane was able to feed Wheeler streaking up the middle to sink the empty net at 18:51. The extra goal made it a 4-2 final.
